Department of Museology in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs is conducting a 15-day training programme during the period from 21st August 2019 to 3rd September 2019 on 'Museology and Museum Management' for the museum professionals from the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation programme (ITEC) partner countries. The cohort of participants are from diverse professional background within the field of Museology.

On 21st August 2019, inaugural ceremony marking the commencement of the capacity building programme held at NMI followed by the Guided tour of National Museum.
