‘Gandhi for All Workshop’ - Hasan Pur Qadeem Village, Garh Road, Meerut, U.P. : 05th March 2019
As a Part the ‘Gandhi For All’ series of workshop that was initiated in 2018 to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhi, a workshop was organized in the village of HasanPur Qadeem on the 05 March 2019, for the students of Eureka Public School. This was the sixth workshop that has been conducted as a part of the series so far. The workshop was facilitated by the Department of Museology, National Museum Institute and was attended by 55 students of the school.
The aim of the workshop is to reach out with Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology, principles, teachings and anecdotes of his life events to students of far flung areas for whom it is difficult to visit museums.
The workshop included a photo exhibition, storytelling session followed by the hands-on experience session on a ‘Discovery trunk’ or ‘Gandhi Pitara’ having replicas of Mahatma Gandhi related objects which are obtained from National Gandhi Museum, Rajghat.
It also included a reading and activity session aided by the booklet, specially designed by the department.
