A lecture on “Experimental Museology: Reframing the Archive” by Prof. Sarah Kenderdine was organised by the Department of Museology, National Museum Institute on 13th November, 2018. Prof. Kenderdine researches at the forefront of interactive and immersive experiences for galleries, archives, museums and libraries. In widely exhibited installation works, she has amalgamated cultural heritage with new media art practice, especially in the realms of interactive cinema, augmented reality and embodied narrative. She has immense experience in the field of providing customised experiences to the visitors at public spaces and also has many publications to her credit.
Prof. Sarah Kenderdine discussed about the technologies which are being used at heritage sites, museums, and other cultural spaces for offering interactive and immersive experiences to the visitors.
